Overview
A well-established mid-market company in the energy sector is looking for a Marketing Director to lead and manage comprehensive marketing efforts remotely within the United States. This leadership role involves ownership of the entire marketing funnel, with direct accountability for measurable revenue results and team growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute end-to-end marketing strategies encompassing demand generation, product marketing, CRM/lifecycle marketing, marketing operations, and growth initiatives.
- Drive quantifiable outcomes including pipeline creation, marketing qualified leads (MQL) and sales qualified leads (SQL), customer acquisition cost (CAC), conversion rates, return on ad spend (ROAS), customer retention, product adoption, and impact from launches.
- Lead, mentor, and expand the marketing team, ensuring alignment with corporate revenue goals.
- Communicate pipeline forecasting and performance insights directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.
- Create and scale multi-channel marketing programs including paid advertising, content marketing, events/field marketing, and channel partnerships.
- Manage the marketing budget effectively to maximize pipeline contribution and ROI.
- Define ideal customer profiles (ICP) and audience segmentation; ensure go-to-market strategies and positioning align with new products and market segments.
- Collaborate with Sales and Revenue Operations teams to convert marketing-generated pipeline into revenue.
- Develop comprehensive dashboards that serve as the definitive source of truth for leadership decision-making.
- Own the marketing attribution model and provide marketing-to-revenue reports detailing budget allocation, channel effectiveness, campaign scale, targeting strategies, and pre/post campaign metrics.
- Improve marketing processes, optimize CRM and martech tool usage, and enhance reporting workflows.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators including pipeline sourced and influenced, CAC, conversion rates, ROAS, and customer retention.
- Create scalable playbooks for campaigns, product launches, and lifecycle marketing programs.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management or director capacity.
- Proven track record of owning and driving measurable funnel and revenue-related outcomes such as pipeline generation, MQL/SQL, CAC, conversion, ROAS, retention, product adoption, or launch results.
- Expertise in demand generation, product marketing, lifecycle/CRM programs, marketing operations, growth marketing, field marketing, paid media, or revenue-focused B2B content marketing.
- Proficiency with marketing technology stacks including HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Looker/Tableau, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn Ads, Braze, and Klaviyo.
- Experience demonstrating ownership of budget, channels, campaign scope, audience targeting, attribution models, and measurable impact before and after campaigns.
- Industry experience within energy, SaaS, cybersecurity, fintech, healthcare, HR technology, enterprise services, e-commerce, or regulated sectors is highly valued.
- Candidates must demonstrate a history of owning revenue impact with tangible analytics; roles focused exclusively on social media, basic graphic design, or generic brand/content without revenue responsibility will not be considered.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $210,000 to $260,000 annually
