Role overview
The Nashville Sports Council, Inc. and the Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl are seeking a Marketing & Digital Media Manager to oversee digital marketing activity, content production, and online audience engagement. This is a salaried, non-exempt role reporting to the Director of Marketing & Partnerships.
What you will do
- Run the day-to-day social media program for both organizations, covering content planning, scheduling, posting, and interaction with followers.
- Create a wide range of digital assets, including social graphics, photography, short-form videos, digital ads, and other promotional materials, often on tight deadlines.
- Track performance across social channels, the website, and email campaigns, then turn the data into practical recommendations.
- Support sponsor deliverables through digital activations, in-venue activations, website mentions, and social content.
- Help produce marketing publications and external communications such as website updates, weekly newsletters, annual reports, and program or media guides.
- Capture, edit, and manage event photography; video coverage at events is considered an added advantage.
- Lead and coach the department intern each semester, with a focus on learning and professional growth.
- Stay informed on changing digital trends and best practices, including responsive web design, social media, email communication, and audience behavior.
- Support the event operations team when needed during NSC and MCB events.
- Build and oversee a team of content creators for major events.
- Take on additional tasks assigned by the Director of Marketing & Strategy, the CFO, or the President and CEO.
Ideal background
- Strong enthusiasm for digital marketing, social media, and storytelling.
- A bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, social media management, content creation, or a closely related discipline.
- 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, content creation, or a related area.
- Hands-on experience managing social accounts, producing engaging content, and using analytics to guide growth and engagement.
- Exposure to paid social advertising and email marketing platforms.
- Working knowledge of Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat; experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects is a plus.
- Experience with photography, short-form video production, and content capture.
- Familiarity with website updates in Strikingly.
- Experience supporting live event production, run-of-show planning, script writing, sponsor activations, promotional elements, and partnership fulfillment.
Additional requirements
- A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
- You must be available to work Labor Day weekend and every year from December 26 through December 31.
Work setting and physical demands
The role is based primarily in an office, but it also includes outdoor work and time in stadium environments. Local travel to events and meetings will be necessary. The usual schedule is 40 hours per week.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to sit at a desk and computer for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to climb stairs.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather, including rain, wind, and both high and low temperatures.
- Ability to work in non-traditional environments and hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
