Overview
Universal Music Group's Interscope Records is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join their team in Santa Monica, CA. The perfect candidate will have experience in the music industry or with a major record label, and be skilled at supporting senior executives with confidentiality and meticulous attention to detail. The role demands the capability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a high-pressure setting, embracing all challenges, however small.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative and marketing support to senior Marketing team members.
- Assisting in developing and distributing marketing materials for a wide range of projects both internally and externally.
- Gathering and compiling weekly artist performance data including social media, radio, and consumption metrics for distribution to artist teams.
- Creating marketing collateral such as artist one-sheets, flyers, billboards, and advertising assets in print and digital formats.
- Participating in and summarizing marketing meetings and calls to gain insights into business operations and marketing strategies.
- Observing campaigns to learn and contribute valuable suggestions.
- Organizing meetings, conference calls, and managing daily calendars efficiently.
- Coordinating travel bookings, processing expenses, vendor relations, and payments management.
- Attending artist performances and special events as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1 to 2 years of administrative experience; prior entertainment industry experience is preferred.
- Passion for and some experience in marketing, ideally within the music industry.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop.
- Comfortable and professional in interactions with artists and managers.
- Self-starter with proactive attitude, strong resourcefulness, and excellent attention to detail.
- Highly adaptable to shifting priorities and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Robust organizational and administrative abilities.
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
