Job description
The opportunity
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation is hiring a permanent, full-time Marketing Coordinator to support the Events & Activations team within the Audiences Division. This role is based in Sydney and involves working across the Parramatta and Ultimo office locations.
You will join a national team responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering a wide mix of marketing and community engagement activity, including major ABC events, local radio promotions and cross-platform initiatives. The role plays a key part in shaping and delivering integrated campaigns, with a strong emphasis on ABC Radio, to support audience growth, participation and impact in line with ABC strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end coordination of integrated marketing campaigns, from planning and delivery through to reporting, post-campaign review and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders across marketing, publicity, creative, social and media to help deliver joined-up campaign outcomes.
- Manage campaign and activation activity, including creative briefing, asset handling, approvals and promotional work carried out on site.
- Create, share and track marketing content across digital channels, social platforms, newsletters and promotional web pages, including writing copy and reporting on performance.
- Maintain productive relationships with partners, media contacts and community stakeholders.
- Handle administrative and operational tasks such as stakeholder communication, financial processing and general campaign support.
About you
- You have experience supporting moderately complex marketing campaigns, events and projects, including the production of marketing materials and assets.
- You can use good judgement and solve moderately complex issues in a fast-moving environment.
- You bring strong knowledge of broadcasting, digital media, podcasting and radio, along with an understanding of ABC content, channels, platforms and marketing activity.
- You are confident using major social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube, and understand digital trends, audience behaviour and broader industry changes.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can work both independently and collaboratively with people at all levels.
- You can manage databases and information systems accurately and with close attention to detail.
- You are comfortable using a range of software tools, including CRM systems, social media platforms and other organisational applications, and can adapt quickly to new technology.
Compensation and benefits
The position offers a salary of $80,000 plus 15.4% ABC nominated superannuation.
