Role Overview
Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, the Marketing Communications Advisor plays an essential role in crafting and executing meaningful marketing communications aligned with the brand strategy and customer engagement objectives. This position focuses on enhancing how customers and stakeholders perceive and connect with the Watercare brand and the vital services provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns aimed at fostering emotional engagement and trust with customers.
- Develop communication strategies for projects that affect customers, such as pricing updates.
- Lead initiatives generating behavioral changes, including promoting water conservation practices.
- Create, edit, and distribute varied communication materials like newsletters, brochures, flyers, letters, posters, advertisements, and digital content.
- Maintain and manage all customer-facing collateral and communication touchpoints to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Produce customer newsletters and continuously update website information.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to support communications directed at investors.
- Advocate for and uphold the Watercare brand in all external communications.
Employment Terms
This is a fixed-term appointment lasting 6 months, designated to cover maternity leave.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a confident, adaptable communicator accustomed to dynamic environments. Reliability, proactive initiative, and strong interdepartmental relationship-building are essential attributes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, or a relevant field.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in communications, including senior role responsibilities.
- Proven track record in delivering integrated multi-channel campaigns and working effectively with creative agencies.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools such as Marketo.
- Exceptional writing capabilities with aptitude to tailor messages for diverse audiences and platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized with competence in prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Experience planning campaigns, managing budgets, and analyzing campaign outcomes.
