Job description
Role overview
Kraft Heinz is hiring a permanent Marketing & Channel Growth Manager to support its Away From Home & Export NZ team in Newmarket, Auckland. This role is suited to someone who enjoys turning commercial insight into practical growth plans, improving pricing and channel performance, and working across teams in a fast-moving environment.
About the company
Kraft Heinz is a major global food and beverage business with eight brands that each generate more than $1 billion in annual sales. Its portfolio spans more than 200 established and emerging brands sold in over 40 countries, covering categories such as sauces, condiments, cheese, dairy, meals, meats, beverages, coffee, and nutrition products.
What you'll do
- Shape category and channel plans by reviewing pricing, customer, market, and competitor data, then turning the findings into clear growth actions.
- Create and roll out commercial strategies for priority channels, with attention to assortment, pricing, and market positioning to improve volume and profitability.
- Develop solid business cases for new product development and coordinate agile SKU setup for smooth launch execution.
- Monitor market developments and commodity movements, and use those insights to guide procurement, portfolio, and pricing decisions.
- Handle key financial activities such as COGS setup, P&L template checks, CPI planning, and monthly profitability reviews.
- Improve ways of working by building SOPs, playbooks, and cross-functional initiatives that increase efficiency.
- Support export growth through price tracking, portfolio management, and the creation of customer-ready presentation materials.
- Work closely with the Head of AFH & Export, RGM, field teams, and leadership to make sure plans support wider business priorities.
- Lead the use of digital tools and portals for B2B customers to strengthen engagement and channel outcomes.
- Present analysis, recommendations, and commercial updates to senior leaders to support planning, margin improvement, and decision-making.
What we're looking for
- Background in pricing process improvement, ideally across the full cycle from governance and execution through review and continuous refinement.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to convert strategy into practical execution.
- Highly analytical approach with confidence in using data to build recommendations and business insight.
- Positive, consultative, energetic style with a strong sense of urgency and a bias toward action.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex pricing and commercial topics simply.
- Strong interpersonal ability to influence, collaborate, and present recommendations across functions and levels of seniority.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working with grocery retailers on pricing through trade finance, category development, trade marketing, or direct account work.
- Comfort using business intelligence tools and reporting platforms to support commercial decisions.
- Proven ability to lead change and gain stakeholder support in a complex or diverse organisation.
- Experience in consumer products and B2B settings, including working with stakeholders at all management levels.
- Full working rights in Australia or New Zealand.
Benefits
- Hybrid working arrangement with flexibility in when and where you work.
- Performance-linked variable pay in addition to a competitive base salary.
- Paid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers.
- Extra leave options including purchased leave, volunteer leave, and LiveWell leave.
- Great Place to Work certification in Australia and New Zealand.
- Access to in-house training programmes.
- Corporate discount programmes.
