Position Overview
We are seeking a Marketing Category Lead for the Accessories division within Nespresso Canada's B2C Marketing team, based in Montreal. Reporting to the Coffee & Accessory Product Manager, this role is responsible for steering the accessory category's strategy, fostering portfolio expansion, innovation, strategic alliances, and project management aligned with brand objectives. This position entails representing the category to global stakeholders and shaping the product roadmap for the Canadian market. It also includes dotted-line management of a shared Coordinator resource, involving mentoring and project oversight.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement impactful launch plans and promotional strategies for new accessory products, determining optimal offerings, pricing, and market approaches.
- Identify market opportunities and contribute to project development decisions.
- Act as the Canadian market spokesperson in global discussions.
- Manage the product lifecycle including code creation, pricing, SKU rationalization, and compliance with local regulations.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and campaign performance to uncover growth prospects.
- Collaborate with commercial, supply chain, and activation teams to ensure seamless execution and strong market presence both online and offline.
- Manage various product segments such as cups, food, and milk devices within the accessory category.
- Keep abreast of category trends and maintain a strategic product roadmap aligned with business goals and customer needs.
- Lead complex cross-functional projects, managing timelines, stakeholders, and execution to enhance customer journey and foster innovation and partnerships locally.
- Administer and optimize budgets, purchasing, and invoicing to maximize ROI.
- Provide day-to-day mentorship, prioritization, and support to the Coordinator, fostering teamwork and effective project delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years in marketing with experience in product or portfolio management, ideally within fashion, luxury home décor, or premium cosmetics sectors.
- Ability to balance attention to detail with strategic perspective.
- Consumer-centric mindset with a focus on end-user needs.
- Fluency in English and French, facilitating collaboration across Canadian and global teams.
- Strong project management skills capable of handling multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Analytical proficiency for data-driven marketing decisions.
- Deep understanding of consumer marketing and communications.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence.

Compensation
