Job description
About Greenhouse
Greenhouse is Australia’s largest dedicated climate innovation ecosystem, bringing together more than 1,000 founders, investors, corporates, policymakers and innovators to speed up climate solutions through the right mix of people, ideas and capital.
This role is focused on helping shape how the ecosystem shows up through content, communication, campaigns, events and community-led initiatives. It also carries responsibility for keeping the Greenhouse brand strong, consistent and professional across every interaction.
This opportunity is aimed at an early-career marketer who wants to grow practical modern marketing skills while contributing to Australia’s climate innovation space.
About the role
Marketing at Greenhouse goes well beyond event promotion and content production. It supports ecosystem growth by increasing engagement, sharing member stories, building relationships and ensuring every touchpoint reflects the energy and impact of the community.
Working within the broader marketing and engagement plan, you will help turn priorities into campaigns, communications, content and experiences that encourage participation, strengthen visibility and create value for members.
You will also help safeguard the Greenhouse brand by maintaining consistency across communications, campaigns and member interactions so that the organisation continues to project quality, credibility and trust.
What you’ll do
- Develop content for social media, newsletters, the website and member communication channels.
- Share member stories, milestones and broader ecosystem activity in engaging ways.
- Build relationships across the ecosystem to surface stories, opportunities and initiatives that improve member involvement.
- Assist with member engagement activities and communication points throughout the member journey.
- Support the marketing of events, partnerships and internal or external initiatives.
- Help deliver integrated campaigns across several channels.
- Use audience insights, performance data and behaviour trends to improve campaigns and communications.
- Track key metrics and contribute to reporting and analysis.
- Assist with CRM, email marketing and automation work.
- Look for ways to use AI and emerging tools to make marketing more effective and efficient.
- Act as a guardian of the Greenhouse brand by ensuring visual identity, tone of voice, positioning and values are reflected consistently in every output.
- Support a coherent and engaging brand experience across all community and communications touchpoints.
What we’re looking for
You may have about 2 to 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing or community engagement. More important than your background is your curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn.
The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to create meaningful engagement and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Your strengths may include
- A genuine interest in storytelling and content creation.
- The ability to build connections between people, ideas and opportunities.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Comfort working with data, reporting and performance measures.
- An interest in audience behaviour and what drives engagement.
- Curiosity about technology, automation and AI.
- An interest in innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability or climate solutions.
Why join us
This is not just a marketing position. It offers the chance to work at the centre of Australia’s climate innovation ecosystem and help shape how founders, investors, corporates, policymakers and innovators connect, collaborate and create impact.
You will gain exposure to marketing, communications, content, events, community engagement, reporting, automation and ecosystem-building while working alongside some of Australia’s most innovative climate-focused organisations.
If you want a role where marketing supports connection, engagement and impact, and where you can help shape one of Australia’s most active innovation ecosystems, this could be a strong fit.
