Job description
Role overview
Moomoo Australia and New Zealand is looking for a confident communicator to help current and prospective users better understand financial markets and use investing opportunities to work toward their goals. This Sydney CBD office role sits within the broader marketing function and is focused on turning market activity into clear, engaging content for a wide audience.
The position involves translating daily developments, trends and events in markets into content people can easily follow and act on. It also represents the moomoo brand across Australasia through media engagement, public commentary and occasional public speaking.
The ideal person will bring genuine enthusiasm for investing and a strong desire to help others on their investing journey. The company values attitude and aptitude as much as direct experience, so candidates who are keen but may not meet every criterion are still encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with the content team to create daily written, audio and video material, including the “daily moo” podcast.
- Answer media enquiries about financial markets promptly and professionally.
- Track market developments and major trends closely so insights can be shared quickly and accurately.
- Communicate the value of the moomoo trading platform to a wide range of audiences.
- Represent the brand at events and, from time to time, deliver live presentations on financial markets.
Requirements
- A strong on-camera, in-person and interview presence with an engaging communication style.
- Background as a market analyst or strategist with solid understanding of US and Australian markets, commodities and macro factors.
- Ability to simplify complex market concepts and present them in a way that holds attention.
- A degree in finance, economics, commerce or a similar field; CFA or CMT is preferred.
- RG146 compliance and knowledge of rules governing financial markets communication.
- Self-driven approach, analytical thinking and the ability to perform well under pressure.
Benefits
- Significant autonomy and room to work independently, while being supported by a friendly team.
- Employer support toward private healthcare and gym membership.
- Competitive compensation with bonus potential.
- Backing for continued learning, education and training.
Culture and workplace
Moomoo Australia and New Zealand says it values and respects every employee, and aims to provide an inclusive setting that supports ongoing professional growth. The local team is closely linked with the company’s broader global network across eight markets. The organisation has been recognised as a certified Great Place to Work for 2025 and 2026.
