Role overview
This position focuses on gathering market intelligence, studying consumer patterns, and turning raw information into practical insights that can guide strategy, product planning, and marketing decisions. The work involves both quantitative and qualitative analysis to spot opportunities, assess market movement, and support better business choices.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and examine information from surveys, market studies, customer feedback, sales results, online analytics, and other research inputs.
- Clean, structure, and verify datasets, then look for meaningful patterns, changes, and trends.
- Convert findings into clear recommendations that can be used by business stakeholders.
- Build market research reports, competitor reviews, dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries.
- Track competitor actions, pricing approaches, customer preferences, and new market developments to support planning and growth.
- Work with marketing, product, sales, and leadership teams to define research goals, review campaign outcomes, and support product positioning, customer segmentation, and expansion plans.
- Help improve research methods, reporting workflows, and data accuracy for stronger business intelligence output.
- Keep watching industry trends, consumer shifts, and economic changes so insights stay current and relevant.
Required qualifications and capabilities
The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of market research methods, consumer behavior analysis, competitive intelligence, and general business analysis. They should be able to plan, run, and interpret both numerical and descriptive research.
Comfort with spreadsheets, analytical tools, survey systems, and reporting software is important. Experience with business intelligence platforms, digital analytics tools, and data visualization is helpful.
Strong numerical thinking, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills are needed to work with complex datasets and turn them into useful business insights.
Knowledge of survey design, sampling, statistical methods, customer segmentation, market sizing, and performance measurement will be an advantage.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills are required for producing polished reports, presentations, and research documents for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Good organization, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle several research projects at once while meeting deadlines in a busy team environment are also important.
