Role overview

This part-time, on-site role is suited to a detail-focused and analytical professional who can support market research activities, gather intelligence from multiple sources, and turn raw information into practical business insights. The position contributes to decision-making by studying market movements, customer behavior, industry shifts, and competitor actions.

The selected candidate will work with different internal teams to uncover opportunities, assess market conditions, and help shape recommendations that can support strategy, product planning, growth initiatives, and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

  • Research markets, industries, competitors, and customers using a range of information sources.
  • Capture, structure, verify, and update research data and related databases.
  • Review quantitative and qualitative inputs to spot trends, patterns, and opportunity areas.
  • Create research summaries, reports, and presentations that clearly present findings and suggestions.
  • Track industry updates, market movements, and competitor activity on an ongoing basis.
  • Help build surveys, questionnaires, and research approaches.
  • Analyze customer feedback, market information, and business performance measures.
  • Assist with forecasting, market sizing, segmentation, and opportunity evaluation work.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand business goals and research needs.
  • Communicate findings in a clear, practical, and decision-friendly format.
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all research outputs.
  • Support improvements to research techniques, tools, and reporting workflows.
  • Contribute to special assignments and other ad hoc research tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, Data Analytics, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • Solid knowledge of market research concepts, methods, and analysis approaches is expected.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical software is important.
  • Experience with survey tools, research repositories, or visualization platforms is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving ability are needed.
  • The role calls for the ability to interpret complex information and convert it into useful business insight.
