Role overview
We are looking for a careful, analytical Market Research Assistant / Market Research Analyst to help plan, run, and review market research work that supports business planning, product decisions, and marketing strategy. The position focuses on gathering and making sense of market information to uncover practical insights about customers, competitors, and industry shifts.
What you will do
You will support the creation of research approaches, collect both numerical and descriptive data through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and secondary sources, and turn the results into well-organized reports. The role also involves helping with survey creation, cleaning and checking data, and building charts, dashboards, and presentations.
Core tasks include studying consumer patterns, spotting market movements, reviewing competitors, and assisting with segmentation and targeting work. You will help convert raw findings into clear recommendations that can guide product positioning, pricing, branding, and expansion planning.
You will work with marketing, product, strategy, and business development teams so that research outputs match broader company goals. Other duties include keeping research databases updated, monitoring industry changes, helping with report preparation, and supporting ongoing improvements in research tools, methods, and data quality.

Qualifications

- Exposure to research methods, survey creation, and data collection practices is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis, data interpretation, and reporting is beneficial.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is needed.
- Experience with data visualization tools, survey tools, or analytics software is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical ability, critical reasoning, and problem-solving skills are expected.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills are needed.
- Good written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities are required.
- You should be able to gather, organize, and interpret both qualitative and quantitative information.
