Job description

Role overview

This position is for a meticulous, research-focused finance professional who can assist with financial analysis, market research, and evidence-based insights used in investment and corporate decisions. The work centers on collecting, examining, and interpreting financial and economic information to support research outputs, reports, and strategic reviews.

What you will work on

You will help gather financial statements, market data, industry reports, and macroeconomic indicators, then organize that information into usable datasets. The role also includes carrying out initial financial and statistical analysis and turning findings into clear, well-structured research summaries.

Core work areas include valuation support, financial modeling, sector benchmarking, and investment research. You will also monitor market movements and economic changes, prepare research notes that feed into investment choices, portfolio analysis, and business strategy, and support due diligence and presentation preparation.

Team collaboration and quality focus

You will work closely with analysts, researchers, and finance teams to keep information accurate, consistent, and relevant. Part of the role involves maintaining research databases, improving data quality standards, and contributing to better research methods over time.

Qualifications and fit

This opportunity suits someone with strong analytical ability, a curious mindset, and a careful approach to handling large volumes of financial and economic data. You should be comfortable working in a structured, detail-driven environment and able to produce accurate outputs.

Required background

A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field is expected. Interest in financial markets, investment research, and economic analysis is important. Exposure to financial statements, valuation concepts, and basic financial modeling would be an advantage, as would knowledge of macroeconomics, capital markets, and industry research methods.

Tools and working style

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required. Experience with financial databases, research platforms, or data analysis software is beneficial. The role also calls for strong quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, communication, organization, confidentiality, and the ability to work both independently and with a team.

Additional expectations

The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and committed to ongoing learning and professional development.
