About the Role
Greenland Group seeks an experienced Marine Carpenter to join their team at Zamil Shipyard in Saudi Arabia. The role entails installation, repair, and fabrication duties crucial to ship maintenance and preparation within dock and dry berth areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ship paneling, flooring, ceiling work, and repair cupboards and doors.
- Install bonded, hinged, and fixed windows as well as non-waterproof doors.
- Fit insulation pins and insulation materials accurately.
- Lay deck underlays and PVC or carpet flooring.
- Assist the Foreman in berth preparation for ships in dock, dry berth, and floating docks.
- Operate carpentry machinery and tools efficiently.
- Manage material requisitions necessary for repairs.
- Maintain safety by ensuring all work is performed in accordance with Quality Assurance protocols and that proper PPE is used.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly during and after tasks.
- Provide timely and precise reports or statements as required by department standards.
- Stay aware of health and safety regulations pertinent to assigned tasks and tools.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of relevant carpentry tools and equipment.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Diploma qualification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Applicants must have prior experience in shipyard or dockyard environments within Gulf countries.
- Experience in various industries including Training Institutes, Travel Agencies, Real Estate, Overseas Companies, Group of Companies, Chemical Industries, and Fast Food Shops can be advantageous.

- Work will be conducted under the supervision of the Carpentry Foreman or Supervisor.
- The role demands strict adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Respect and cleanliness of customer facilities must be maintained at all times.
Compensation
The monthly salary offered ranges between Tk. 59,000 and Tk. 63,000.
