A reputable medical device company located in Galway is currently expanding and seeking skilled Manufacturing Technicians to join their onsite teams. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to develop, troubleshoot, standardize, and enhance existing production methods and procedures.
- Handle electronic troubleshooting tasks including PLC programming and interfacing with electronic hardware.
- Manage an inventory of critical spare parts essential for maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
- Support Manufacturing Engineers in exploring and implementing innovative production methodologies.
- Assist in design processes, sourcing parts, and preparing relevant documentation.
- Conduct equipment qualifications and validations with comprehensive report documentation.
- Design, specify, manufacture, test, and document production equipment modifications and improvements.
- Liaise effectively with internal teams and external vendors as required during operations.
- Oversee preventative maintenance procedures within assigned processes or specific areas of responsibility.
- Report any work process concerns related to environmental impact, health, or safety issues to management promptly.
Experience and Qualification Requirements
- Possess a minimum Level 6 qualification or Senior Trades certification.
- Have at least 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within the medical device manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills essential for teamwork and coordination.
- Exhibit the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
