Job description

Role overview

Siemens Energy is seeking a proactive and highly organised Manufacturing Production Scheduler to join its additive manufacturing operation in Worcester. This role sits at the heart of planning and scheduling, ensuring production targets are met by keeping materials, resources, and schedules aligned with customer demand. The position is practical and hands-on, with regular interaction on the shop floor and frequent coordination across production, purchasing, stores, and supply chain functions.

What you will do

  • Build, maintain, and refresh production plans and schedules to match customer requirements and available capacity.
  • Review production progress and make schedule adjustments to reduce delay and disruption.
  • Work daily with shop floor teams to track progress, respond quickly to issues, and support delivery against plan.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, stores, and logistics teams to confirm that materials and resources are in place.
  • Monitor work orders, inventory levels, and production metrics to help ensure on-time completion.
  • Study production information and prepare reports that support planning decisions and operational performance.
  • Spot bottlenecks, shortages, and scheduling clashes, and escalate where needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and workflow planning.
  • Keep system records and documentation accurate and up to date for all production activity.

What you need

  • Between 3 and 5 years of experience in production control, production planning, or a similar role within manufacturing.
  • A solid understanding of production planning and scheduling methods.
  • Advanced Excel capability, including data analysis, spreadsheet management, and reporting.
  • SAP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work across several departments.
  • A structured, careful, and highly organised working style.
  • Strong prioritisation and problem-solving ability, with a willingness to stay hands-on in a busy manufacturing setting.

Team context

This opportunity suits someone who already has strong planning knowledge, advanced spreadsheet ability, and ideally SAP exposure, and who wants a central role in a fast-moving additive manufacturing environment with direct contact with shop floor operations.
