Managing Director - Manufacturing Site Leadership

Role Overview

As Managing Director at the Mondi Jülich site, you will helm a highly specialized manufacturing facility known for its expertise in release liner technologies and advanced coating solutions. This role uniquely combines operational leadership responsibility with a focus on driving technical innovation and industrial growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full P&L accountability to ensure sustained financial health and operational excellence of the site.
• Lead all manufacturing operations with visible presence to uphold leading standards in safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.
• Strengthen operational stability and continuously improve processes across all functions.
• Remain competitive by enforcing disciplined execution and operational excellence.
• Lead industrialization of innovative products and technologies from Mondi's innovation pipeline, integrating new manufacturing capabilities without compromising ongoing performance.
• Promote strong cross-functional collaboration between Operations, R&D, Engineering, and Commercial teams to hasten the transition from concept to production.
• Drive strategic investment initiatives to enhance the site's operational capabilities and competitive positioning.
• Build and nurture a high-performing leadership team with a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Represent the Jülich site within the broader Mondi Flexible Packaging organisation and align local objectives with the Group’s strategy.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record with senior leadership experience including full P&L responsibility in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Substantial experience managing complex technical production facilities, ideally in specialty materials, chemicals, coatings, paper, packaging, or related industries.
• Background in leading large-scale operational transformations, investment programs, or industrialization projects.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing excellence, engineering principles, quality management, supply chain processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Skillful at integrating innovative developments into stable manufacturing environments.
• Authentic leadership style with success in cultivating high-performing teams and strong organizational cultures.
• Outstanding stakeholder management capabilities with influence across multiple business functions and senior leaders.
• Strategic thinker with pragmatic, hands-on operational execution skills.
• Fluent in both German and English languages.
