The role blends psychological expertise with strategic consulting to solve complex client challenges, improve the client journey, and support long-term business growth. It also carries a team leadership component, with responsibility for mentoring consultants and encouraging a high-standard, learning-focused culture. The position contributes directly to the company's goal of being a globally trusted partner by combining talent practices, technology, and strong client service.
Client engagement and delivery
- Own client engagements across multiple industries and work through complex issues to create assessment and development solutions with clear business value.
- Prepare and deliver sophisticated proposals using a structured, evidence-led approach.
- Protect and elevate the quality of all client outputs while deepening strategic relationships that support sustainable account growth.
- Manage key accounts effectively and build trusted-advisor relationships with important stakeholders and wider contact networks.
Consulting expertise
- Use advanced psychological concepts and methods to evaluate client needs and design high-impact talent interventions.
- Advise clients and internal stakeholders on assessments, psychometrics, and talent practices using current best-practice thinking and evidence-based guidance.
- Provide strong technical input in areas such as psychometric profiling, report creation, analysis, coaching, and presentations or proposals.
- Deliver workshops, coaching sessions, feedback debriefs, and other client-facing services to a consistently high standard.
- Apply ethical consulting standards throughout all work, including informed consent, data responsibility, and the careful use of technology.
People leadership and development
- Help lead and develop the consulting team by promoting collaboration, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
- Build team capability by understanding individual strengths and aspirations and supporting their development into high performers.
- Coach and mentor direct reports so they can grow in ownership, confidence, and effectiveness.
Business growth and innovation
- Spot and pursue new business opportunities, contribute to revenue growth, and help expand market presence by meeting new-business and sales targets.
- Align consulting delivery with strategic business goals and use technology and analytics to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Contribute to thought leadership through industry participation, published insights, and the development of innovative consulting approaches.
Project and cross-functional management
- Lead project planning across scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams on complex projects to ensure outputs meet quality and strategic expectations.
- Guide stakeholder management and risk handling across the full project lifecycle.
- Partner with sales colleagues on business development when needed, including relationship building, assessing solution fit, supporting RFPs and proposals, and participating in pitch meetings.
- Work with Client Experience teams on ongoing client needs such as project administration, product setup on TalogyTech systems, and handling client queries.
- Support marketing activity through blogs, webinars, conference participation, and event presentations.
- Contribute to broader internal strategic discussions and decision-making.
Experience and qualification requirements
- A master's degree in organisational psychology, business psychology, or a closely related field is required.
- Chartered or registered psychologist status is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of current talent management theory and modern approaches is expected.
- Formal accreditation in ability testing and personality assessment from two major assessment publishers is required.
- An ICF-recognised coaching qualification is preferred.
- Proven success in business development and client relationship management is necessary.
- Demonstrated leadership of complex projects and enterprise-level solutions is required.
- Strong computer literacy and solid Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are required.
- At least 15 years of experience in talent management or HR consultancy is required.
