Job description

Role overview

This position sits in the Quality Management Division and is responsible for safeguarding the quality and compliance of courses approved under the Training Grant System (TGS). The role reports to the Team Lead and works closely with colleagues across the division and beyond.

The job supports the wider mission of enabling lifelong learning, skills mastery, and career development for a future-ready Singapore. It involves course accreditation, quality reviews, system testing, and coordination with other teams to ensure Continuing Education and Training (CET) standards remain strong.

Key responsibilities

The selected candidate will handle course accreditation and approval work, perform quality management checks, and ensure course materials meet adult learning principles as well as relevant funding and agency requirements.

The role also includes managing escalated public and training provider queries and appeals. Where needed, the incumbent will investigate possible breaches of the Terms and Conditions for Registered Training Providers (RTPs) and assess non-compliance issues.

In addition, the role supports testing and rollout of system improvements in the TGS to improve functionality and process flow. Coordination work across internal divisions and external policy and systems teams is also part of the job.

The incumbent may also contribute to divisional projects, organisational initiatives, and other assigned tasks that support innovation and continuous improvement.

What the role requires

The successful applicant should already have the core competencies needed to perform the duties effectively.

At least 3 years of relevant work experience is expected, ideally in Continuing Education and Training. However, fresh graduates or applicants without the stated academic qualification may still be considered if they have relevant experience in areas such as course quality management, courseware development, or course delivery.

Strong spoken and written English is important for this position. The role also calls for good analytical ability to examine complaints, feedback, and whistleblowing cases, along with basic to intermediate data handling skills.

Experience with adult education in Singapore is an advantage. Candidates holding WSQ ACLP or WSQ ACTA credentials are preferred.

Contract terms

This appointment will initially be on a 2-year contract. Depending on performance and organisational needs, the candidate may later be extended or converted to a permanent position.
