About the Transfer Pricing Team
The transfer pricing group works on challenging tax matters and develops practical, strategic solutions for clients. The team includes people with different professional backgrounds and skill sets, and they work closely together across a broad range of assignments. The wider practice has a collaborative, supportive culture and operates nationally.
The Opportunity
This role is suited to professionals who are interested in transfer pricing and want to grow within a practice that is expanding. The client portfolio includes large multinational organisations and fast-growing businesses across a range of industries. You will collaborate with international and corporate tax specialists within the New Zealand network and overseas to deliver practical, high-quality advice.
What You’ll Do
- Build deeper transfer pricing expertise by working on complex matters across multiple industries and contributing to advice that meets multi-jurisdictional requirements through the global transfer pricing network.
- Work alongside a highly experienced team of specialists in a supportive and welcoming environment.
- Prepare transfer pricing studies and analyses to help clients meet their international compliance obligations in a changing tax environment.
- Look after client relationships and respond to queries promptly and professionally.
- Meet with clients to understand how their business operates, what transfer pricing issues they face and where risk may arise.
- Support disputes with tax authorities and APA applications by drafting submissions and responses.
- Help improve internal systems and processes.
What You’ll Need
- At least 4 years of transfer pricing experience in a professional services setting.
- A relevant qualification such as a degree in accounting, finance, economics or law.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients, colleagues and partners.
- Good planning, organisation and time management abilities.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- A self-driven approach with initiative and ownership.
