About the Role

Foodlink is looking for an engaging and employee-focused Manager of Talent, Learning and Experience to develop an outstanding workplace environment. This role is dedicated to enhancing the overall employee journey by delivering thoughtful onboarding processes, impactful learning and development programs, proactive engagement initiatives, and ongoing support, ensuring staff are fully equipped and motivated to excel.

Key Duties

  • Collaborate with organizational leaders to identify the training and development needs across teams.
  • Support recruitment efforts by partnering with hiring managers throughout candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection to attract diverse and mission-aligned talent.
  • Develop and continuously improve comprehensive hiring and onboarding programs that provide a welcoming, organized, and mission-driven introduction for new hires.
  • Manage onboarding resources such as schedules, tools, and learning pathways while coordinating orientation activities and serving as the primary contact for new employees during their entry period.
  • Design and facilitate a broad range of learning opportunities aimed at improving employee skills, compliance knowledge, and professional growth while maintaining a yearly training calendar.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention through programs that foster belonging, recognition, wellness, and positive communication.
  • Handle general HR support duties including organizing training logistics, responding to employee inquiries, maintaining confidential records, and assisting with HR reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, Communications, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in HR, employee experience, onboarding, learning and development, engagement, or similar fields.
  • Preferred experience includes creating and managing training, onboarding, and professional development programs, as well as recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, HR best practices, employment laws, and talent development.
  • Proficient interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, and communication skills with ability to build strong relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and sensitive information discreetly.
  • Customer-service oriented mindset that supports employee success.
  • Experience with Paylocity or comparable HRIS and applicant tracking systems is advantageous.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and capacity to quickly adapt to HR and workplace technology tools.
