About the company
This organisation is a healthcare-focused consultancy dedicated to creating long-lasting improvements across health and care. It works with leaders and frontline teams to improve outcomes, support the spread of innovation, and unlock value through investment.
The firm supports the full healthcare ecosystem, including payors, care providers, life sciences businesses, health technology firms, sector suppliers, and health investors. Its work covers the full lifecycle from strategy through implementation, with delivery strengthened by data, digital capability, and AI.
It also helps shape debate on major health topics through evidence-led thought leadership. With strong access to and use of health data, its consultants contribute to meaningful and measurable change in healthcare.
Strategic direction
The company is building a leading consulting practice focused exclusively on health. Its client base includes healthcare systems, life sciences organisations, health technology businesses, investors, and the broader supplier landscape.
Its services span strategy, transformation, finance, performance improvement, and implementation supported by data, digital tools, and AI. The aim is to help clients define ambitions, identify opportunities, apply innovation effectively, and deliver sustainable results.
Data is central to the consulting approach. The organisation is known for safe and responsible use of health data to support innovation adoption, generate evidence, inform decisions, and improve healthcare delivery. Engineering and data science capabilities are also used directly with clients, often in multidisciplinary teams.
The business is also developing a community of expert consultants who want to work at the forefront of the profession and share a strong commitment to health. Career development is structured from Analyst to Partner, supported by apprenticeship, mentoring, and formal training.
Role overview
As a Manager with healthcare expertise and experience delivering strategic or digital programmes in a healthcare setting, you will join a collaborative team focused on improving health and care. The group includes experienced consultants and senior leaders from the NHS and major consultancies.
You will work with leading healthcare organisations on complex challenges affecting population health and wellbeing. The role combines hands-on delivery, client leadership, team support, and commercial contribution, while offering strong opportunities for professional growth.
Key responsibilities
- Lead complex engagements end to end by breaking problems into clear workstreams and guiding teams toward practical solutions.
- Run productive problem-solving sessions with senior client stakeholders and help ensure decisions are based on strong evidence.
- Own delivery management so that work stays aligned to scope, quality standards, timelines, and resourcing plans.
- Manage competing priorities across multiple projects and wider commitments while exercising good judgement in a fast-moving environment.
- Oversee the creation of polished, client-ready deliverables from early analysis through final presentation.
- Handle day-to-day client interactions as a dependable point of contact and maintain a strong client experience.
- Support team performance by spotting delivery risks early, resolving issues, and creating conditions for high-quality work.
- Develop relationships across both existing and prospective accounts and discuss future needs and opportunities with clients.
- Help identify and shape growth opportunities, supporting efforts to win follow-on work and new business.
- Maintain commercial awareness, including project profitability and the forward pipeline.
- Contribute to business development through proposals and responses to competitive tenders.
Required experience and attributes
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare sector.
- Previous management consulting experience in a strategy or digital transformation role.
- Strategic thinking skills with the ability to build structured plans for complex healthcare problems.
- Solid project management capability, including juggling priorities, allocating resources, and driving successful delivery.
- Comfort with data analysis and the ability to interpret complex datasets for decision-making.
- Leadership ability to motivate, support, and develop team members toward strong performance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for working with clients and colleagues.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to spot opportunities and support business growth.
- Commitment to continuous learning and keeping up with sector developments and best practices.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience.
Working model

Team members can work from home one day each week as standard, plus an additional 44 remote-working days per year. In practice, this can allow up to two work-from-home days per week depending on client requirements, or the allowance can be taken in blocks. Office hours are flexible within core hours of 10am to 4pm.
Benefits
The reward package is designed to be competitive and adaptable. It includes a holiday allowance that increases with seniority, starting at a minimum of 25 days, alongside a strong employer pension contribution and benefits that can be tailored to personal needs such as wellbeing, fitness, and financial protection.
Additional support is available for major life events, including enhanced family leave, income and life protection, interest-free loans, and travel support.
Employees also receive access to a comprehensive wellbeing and employee assistance programme, preventative health benefits, and initiatives that encourage an active and balanced way of working.
Overall, the company offers flexibility, security, and benefits that evolve with your career so you can build a sustainable and rewarding future.
