Its products are designed to help members build connections, find opportunities, develop skills, and gain insights. The company also focuses on employee development and promotes a culture grounded in trust, care, inclusion, and enjoyment at work.

The organization is committed to helping the world work better and to creating transformational opportunities for its employees.

Role Overview

This position sits in the Planning & Performance team within Strategic Planning & Initiatives under the Go-to-Market Operations function. The Manager, Forecasting & Business Intelligence will help shape forecasting strategy, operating rhythms, and performance tracking for LinkedIn Marketing Solutions.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, relationship management, program execution, and analytical thinking to establish scalable practices and deliver insights that support business growth. The ideal candidate should be comfortable balancing multiple cross-functional efforts, engaging with senior leaders, and operating effectively in a fast-moving, complex environment.

The role is hybrid, with work performed from both home and a LinkedIn office on designated days based on business needs. The position can be based in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, or Sunnyvale.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing forecasting and business intelligence capability.
  • Coach team members on strategic thinking, process discipline, and professional growth.
  • Deliver core global forecasting, performance management, and reporting processes in both day-to-day and long-range planning cycles.
  • Drive strategic and operational initiatives that affect Sales and GTM Operations, while partnering with data and systems teams to shape shared roadmaps and automation opportunities.
  • Define and monitor KPIs that help leadership assess business health.
  • Own recurring reporting rhythms, including weekly, bi-weekly, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Improve operational efficiency through near-term and long-term process enhancements.
  • Spot risks early, escalate them appropriately, and recommend practical resolution paths.
  • Work with stakeholders to design mitigations and solutions that support successful outcomes.
  • Identify ambiguous business problems proactively and recommend the best forward path.
  • Build strong partnerships across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Lead with an ownership mindset, extending impact beyond the immediate function to help the organization scale.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in go-to-market, sales, business operations, consulting, investment banking, finance, strategy, or analytics.
  • Minimum 1 year of people management experience in a related environment.
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis and modelling using Excel and SQL, with the ability to translate numbers into sound decisions.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline, forecasting, and business performance management processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • BA/BS degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred knowledge of territory planning, segmentation, quota allocation, account planning, and crediting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, including the capacity to structure complex issues, work through difficult datasets, develop solutions, and create executive-ready presentations.
  • Ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Experience in high-growth, performance-driven environments.
  • Strong collaboration, influence, organization, and program management skills.
  • Capability to define ambiguous problems and focus on outcomes.
  • Strategic thinking with a record of delivering consultative, data-driven solutions.
  • Ability to influence and drive accountability across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communication with senior leaders.
  • Experience with CRM systems, sales tools, and data visualization platforms.
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Experience in process and workflow design.
  • Background in digital advertising, marketing, or large-scale technology companies.
  • AI fluency.
  • MBA or another advanced degree preferred.

Perks & Compensation

  • Base pay range of $126,000 to $204,000.
  • Potential for annual performance bonus.
  • Possible equity in the form of stock.
  • Benefits and/or other incentive compensation plans may also apply.
