Job description

About the Role

This opportunity sits inside the Planning & Performance team under Strategic Planning & Initiatives within the Go-to-Market Operations organization. The role focuses on shaping forecasting strategy, strengthening business intelligence, and improving performance monitoring for the LinkedIn Marketing Solutions business. The position is available in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, or Sunnyvale, and follows a hybrid work model with a mix of home and office work based on team needs.

The company is looking for a leader who can combine analytical depth, people management, and strong cross-functional influence. Success in this role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, complex environment, can work closely with executives, and can turn ambiguous business problems into practical solutions that improve growth and operating performance.

What You Will Do

  • Build and run a high-performing forecasting and business intelligence capability.
  • Guide team members with an emphasis on strategic thinking, operating discipline, and professional growth.
  • Own important global forecasting, business performance, and reporting processes in both day-to-day operations and longer-term planning.
  • Lead strategic and operational initiatives that affect Sales and Go-to-Market Operations, partnering with data and systems teams to shape a shared roadmap and identify automation opportunities.
  • Define and monitor KPIs that help senior leadership understand business health.
  • Manage recurring reporting rhythms, including weekly, bi-weekly, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Improve efficiency by refining processes for both immediate and long-range needs.
  • Spot risks early, escalate them appropriately, and propose solutions.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans and support strong business outcomes.
  • Frame unclear business challenges and recommend next steps.
  • Build productive relationships across a wide range of partners and functions.
  • Operate with an ownership mindset and contribute beyond the core remit to help the organization scale.

What They Are Looking For

The ideal candidate brings experience in go-to-market, sales, business operations, consulting, investment banking, finance, strategy, or analytics. A strong grasp of pipeline, forecasting, and business performance management is important, along with the ability to work with data in Excel and SQL and turn findings into sound decisions. Prior people-management experience in a similar setting is also required.

In addition, the role calls for strong communication, executive presentation skills, collaboration, program management, and the ability to prioritize well under deadlines with minimal supervision. Experience in digital advertising, marketing, or a large-scale technology environment is a plus, as is familiarity with CRM, sales, and data visualization tools. The role also values AI fluency and the ability to learn new tools quickly. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.

Education and Experience

A BA/BS degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. Candidates should have at least 6 years of relevant experience and at least 1 year of people management experience in a similar context.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is between $126,000 and $204,000 annually. Actual pay may vary depending on skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and the specific work location. The total compensation package may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other incentive compensation plans.

Additional Information

The employer maintains a fair and equitable compensation philosophy and is committed to equal opportunity hiring. Candidates are considered without regard to protected characteristics such as race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, sex, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, citizenship, or any other legally protected class.

An accessible and inclusive hiring experience is available for candidates with disabilities. Reasonable accommodations can be requested for tasks such as searching for roles, applying, or taking part in interviews. Examples include alternate-format documents, accessible interview locations, a service animal, or a sign language interpreter. Accommodation requests are typically answered within three business days, while non-disability-related requests such as application follow-ups do not receive a response.

The company also states that it will not discriminate against employees or applicants for discussing, disclosing, or asking about compensation, subject to applicable legal exceptions. Additional notices include compliance with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance for qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records, adherence to pay transparency and non-discrimination requirements as a federal contractor, and availability of privacy and compliance notices for candidates.

Location and Work Model

This role is based in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, or Sunnyvale and is set up as hybrid, meaning work will be split between home and an office on selected days as determined by business needs.
