About the Role
Reporting to the FP&A Director for APAC, this role is pivotal in managing and coordinating the financial reporting for the APAC Management Entity. The position supports the APAC Management Committee by preparing presentations, conducting analyses, and ensuring alignment with HQ requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial reporting processes for affiliates in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Pacific regions.
- Manage monthly profit and loss (P/L) and cash closing along with forecast activities.
- Monitor and challenge the Rolling Forecast and Risks & Opportunities (R&O).
- Track P/L and cash landing aligned with HQ directives and deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to allocated volume metrics, comparing Rolling Forecasts (RF) against allocations.
- Act as a business partner for affiliates and APAC Management team by deeply understanding market operations.
- Facilitate the sharing of best financial practices, such as automation and simplification across APAC.
- Provide robust support to the APAC Management Committee with financial tools enabling effective decision-making.
- Identify business risks and growth opportunities in collaboration with affiliates, providing actionable advice.
- Assist the APAC Business Development Director with the Growth Equation initiative for APAC markets.
- Maintain and update the APAC calendar covering meetings and presentations.
- Develop standard templates for affiliate use in meetings, especially Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Create automated analyses and dashboards utilizing PowerBI and Excel to streamline presentations and performance tracking.
- Coordinate finance presentations for APAC CODI together with affiliates and for HQ meetings including Quarterly Business Reviews and ELT sessions.
- Lead short-term finance transformation projects focusing on EPM implementation, Master Data Management (MDM), and Beyond Budget initiatives.
- Coordinate the handover of Finance 4.0 and Continuous Business Process transformation tasks to the Finance Transformation Manager APAC.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree holder with formal business-related qualification or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
- In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local taxation laws.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with business analysis methodologies and techniques.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards ERP system is advantageous.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
