Job description
Role overview
This 12-month fixed-term opportunity is based in Auckland and covers the Auckland territory, with a smaller group of Christchurch accounts that will require regular travel. The role sits within the on-premise sales team and focuses on managing well-known bars and restaurants, strengthening customer relationships, and driving commercial growth.
You will represent a globally recognised spirits business with a broad premium portfolio that includes Absolut vodka, The Glenlivet Scotch whisky, Jameson Irish whiskey, Martell cognac, Havana Club rum, Beefeater, Malfy and Monkey 47 gins, Malibu liqueur, and Mumm and Perrier-Jouët champagnes.
This position has been created to cover parental leave and runs until mid-July 2027. It suits someone with experience in FMCG account management, a solid understanding of the on-premise liquor sector, and a genuine interest in building strong professional partnerships.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, expand, and improve a varied portfolio of on-premise customers.
- Build and deliver account plans that support broader business goals.
- Drive sales, distribution, and activation outcomes across the territory.
- Spot new business opportunities, negotiate end to end, and see contracts through to completion.
- Create business plans and customer-focused promotional activity.
- Track territory performance and market movement, then prepare accurate and timely internal reporting based on sales data.
What you should bring
- Experience in FMCG or beverage sales is preferred, and on-premise sales exposure will be a strong advantage.
- A genuine enthusiasm for champagne, spirits, or cocktails will be valued.
- A tertiary qualification in business or a related field is beneficial, though not mandatory.
- A full driving licence is required.
- You should be a motivated, ambitious, and results-driven sales professional.
