Role Overview
The Manager - Financial Business Support will support the SVP of Financial Business Support by delivering timely MIS, including ALCO reports, to help management make informed decisions, monitor business performance, and take corrective actions when needed. The role also includes preparing regular progress updates against targets, identifying variances, and carrying out initial reviews to understand the reasons for underperformance or overachievement.
Responsibilities
- Support the SVP Financial Business Support in preparing and delivering management information reports, including ALCO reporting, within required timelines.
- Help management monitor business performance through accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare recurring updates on progress against targets for senior stakeholders.
- Highlight deviations from plans or targets and provide first-level checks on possible reasons for shortfalls or excess achievement.
Education and Experience
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in finance, accountancy, or a closely related discipline. Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, or CFA are considered an added advantage. A minimum of 4 years of experience in a large bank within a financial business support role is required.
Required Skills
Strong English and Arabic communication skills are important, with Arabic preferred. The position also requires solid knowledge of financial reporting standards and pronouncements such as IFRS and IAS, along with proficiency in MIS tools, valuation and pricing techniques, and related methodologies. The candidate should bring strong analytical and interpersonal abilities, work effectively under pressure, and be capable of building relationships across the organization to drive results. Understanding of accounting rules across the Group’s products is also necessary.
