Role Overview

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Events Manager is charged with planning and delivering impactful events aimed at targeted audiences. Responsibilities cover the full lifecycle of event management, from initial idea through to event wrap-up, requiring exceptional customer service and consistent delivery of high-quality branded events that meet corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define event goals, specifications, schedules, and requirements while keeping strategic objectives in focus during all stages of planning and delivery.
  • Serve as the lead project manager for designated events, ensuring deadlines and shared tasks are met from start to finish, including post-event activities.
  • Manage all logistical components such as venue selection, vendor engagement, catering, entertainment, transportation, invitations, guest handling, marketing initiatives, and onsite coordination within timeframes and budgets.
  • Develop and adhere to event budgets, sponsorship efforts, and spending controls.
  • Source and negotiate vendor, venue, sponsor, and staff services for successful event execution.
  • Foster strong partnerships with external providers to negotiate competitive rates and superior service.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant legal, insurance, health, and safety standards at all events.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including timelines, run sheets, and planning aids for seamless communication and execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Operations, and Executive teams to align events with broader business aims and brand identity.
  • Lead event-related marketing efforts, including media outreach, social campaigns, and content creation to maximize engagement and sales opportunities.
  • Support sales teams by generating qualified leads through strategic event marketing.
  • Handle issues proactively during events with professionalism to minimize disruptions.
  • Collect and analyze data on event attendance, lead generation, engagement, expenditures, and overall effectiveness.
  • Evaluate event outcomes to derive actionable insights, presenting results and recommendations to leadership.
  • Continuously research industry practices to enhance event quality, efficiency, attendee satisfaction, and ROI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in Event Management or a related discipline preferred.

  • Proficient with technology tools such as Salesforce, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.
