Overview
Starbucks is seeking a Manager of Digital Product Management for Starbucks Shop to lead the vision, strategy, growth, and operational success of its direct-to-consumer digital commerce platform. This role is integral to evolving Starbucks Shop into a strategic growth channel, delivering significant revenue while deepening customer relationships and enhancing brand experiences beyond physical stores. Situated within Global Digital Commerce, this senior leadership position collaborates across product management, merchandising, marketing, customer experience, operations, analytics, and technology to craft an unparalleled commerce journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage the vision, strategy, operating plan, and investment priorities for Starbucks Shop.
- Drive growth as an integrated direct-to-consumer business and customer experience platform.
- Uphold Starbucks’ brand values ensuring every digital interaction embodies quality, craftsmanship, and connection.
- Balance short-term commercial goals with sustained brand equity development.
- Be accountable for commercial performance and scalability with an initial focus on U.S. operations and planning for international expansion.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team spanning product, commerce, and customer experience functions.
- Influence cross-organizational executive stakeholders and manage vendor/platform partnerships strategically.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy and decision-making responsibility.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 8+ years of expertise in digital commerce, product leadership, or related fields.
- Proven track record managing performance metrics such as revenue, conversion rates, customer acquisition and retention, and satisfaction.
- Strong strategic thinker with commercial acumen linking customer experience to financial outcomes.
- Proficient in quantitative and qualitative data analysis methodologies.
- Experienced in leading large cross-functional teams and engaging with senior leaders effectively.
- Familiar with customer research, experimental design, and A/B testing strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive influence capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; MBA is advantageous.
- Prior experience managing teams in complex, matrixed environments favored.
- Deep knowledge of digital commerce ecosystems including merchandising, personalization, payment systems, fulfillment, and digital marketing.
- Expertise working within agile frameworks such as scrum, sprints, user stories, and persona-driven development.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle ambiguity, align diverse teams, and deliver results in a dynamic pace.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
