Manager - Corporate Finance Deals

As a key contributor to the Corporate Finance & Infrastructure Advisory team based in Auckland, you will support clients in making strategic, investment, and financing decisions on large-scale capital projects. Your role will involve effective project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are maintained while collaborating closely with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead detailed financial modelling and analysis for M&A and infrastructure projects, directly interfacing with clients and guiding analyst teams to produce commercially insightful reports.
• Identify and communicate critical issues, risks, and opportunities to enable senior stakeholders to make well-informed strategic and investment choices.
• Prepare, evaluate, and deliver impactful documentation such as investment committee reports, governance materials, briefing notes, and client presentations.
• Mentor and lead team members, encouraging collaboration and sound judgment in tackling complex commercial and financial challenges, including escalation when necessary.
• Uphold PwC’s high standards of integrity, professionalism, and excellence throughout client engagements and internal projects.

Skills and Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant management experience in advisory, finance, strategy, or infrastructure-related roles.
• Proven expertise in financial modelling and analytical techniques.
• Familiarity with capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, valuations, and infrastructure procurement.
• Preferably experienced in project finance with a solid understanding of debt metrics and credit ratings.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and macros.
• Strong communication abilities with a talent for crafting clear and compelling messages.
• Systems thinking aptitude to discern root causes and potential opportunities.
• Leadership and composure demonstrated in complex, uncertain environments.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and technical excellence.
• CA or CFA credentials (completed or pursuing) are viewed favorably.
