About Talabat and Role Overview

This position reports directly to the local Head of Department and is responsible for shaping and advancing the public affairs (PA) and corporate responsibility strategies throughout the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously identify and evaluate relevant public affairs opportunities and important regulatory developments.
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with government bodies and regulatory agencies in the UAE to effectively communicate the company’s priorities and role.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of public affairs plans covering the seven emirates, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote ongoing projects and new initiatives.
- Prepare written content and presentations, coordinate meetings and events, and ensure synchronization with communications and marketing teams, including newsletters addressed to authorities.
- Support risk management efforts by providing online and on-ground assistance and maintaining documentation of incidents.
- Collaborate closely across departments to align business strategies, policy objectives, sustainability targets, and community engagement efforts.
Corporate Responsibility Management
- Lead corporate responsibility projects by working with various internal departments such as commercial, operations, finance, legal, and marketing communications.
- Ensure alignment of corporate responsibility and sustainability goals with international benchmarks and local UAE government regulations.
- Assess and report on the social impact of initiatives, focusing on non-financial performance metrics.
Candidate Qualifications
- Four to six years of experience in public affairs, with additional exposure to communications or corporate responsibility preferred.
- Experience in agency settings and/or fast-paced in-house environments, including project management capabilities.
- Educational background or professional experience in government relations, public affairs, or communications.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Data-driven and results-focused, with a track record of successful impact-oriented public affairs or corporate responsibility campaigns.
- Highly reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated professional.
- Collaborative, flexible, and capable of managing numerous stakeholders effectively.
- Strong organizational skills enabling simultaneous management of multiple projects.
- Ability to perform well under pressure, exhibiting high emotional intelligence and professionalism.
