Job description
Role Overview
The Manager of Business Tax at our Calgary, Alberta office plays a vital role in supporting private and public sector clients with comprehensive tax advisory services. You will work collaboratively in teams to deliver strategic tax management advice, prepare various income tax returns, and review tax provisions, strengthening our clients' tax positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tax consulting and support to corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals, ensuring compliance and optimization.
- Prepare and manage income tax returns across several client types.
- Analyze tax provisions and prepare detailed opinions and related documentation.
- Engage closely with clients to identify challenges, formulate solutions, and manage expectations.
- Support team leadership and collaborate effectively to deliver impactful results.

Candidate Profile
- Undergraduate degree is required; an accounting designation is advantageous.
- Possession or progress towards a Master's degree in taxation or completion of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course.
- At least 3 to 4 years of relevant Canadian tax experience.
- Proven skills in diagnosing project issues, developing solutions, client communication, facilitating decision-making, and documenting outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in managing client expectations and leading teams.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $84,000 to $140,000 annually. Eligible candidates may participate in a bonus scheme. Beyond salary, the company offers a comprehensive rewards package including:
