Job description

About Netflix

Netflix is a global entertainment platform serving more than 300 million paid members across over 190 countries. People use the service to watch TV series, films, and games in many genres and languages, with the flexibility to play, pause, resume, and change plans whenever they choose.

About the Team

The Brand Partnerships group works across internal teams and outside partners to build campaigns, activations, sponsorships, and inventive partnership ideas. The team supports broader marketing goals by teaming up with well-known consumer brands to promote titles, strengthen fandom, and create campaigns that spark conversation. Since the launch of Netflix with Ads in 2022, the partnership model has continued to evolve, with new ways for brands to connect with Netflix content, culture, and ad-tier subscribers while keeping the member experience strong.

About the Role

This position focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with important partners across the UK, helping grow awareness of Netflix’s Brand Partnerships offering while learning each partner’s objectives, planning process, creative ambitions, and core brand value. You will help negotiate and shape strong partnerships with respected brands that support major Netflix films and series.

You will join a cross-functional team within EMEA Marketing Partnerships and work with a Senior Brand Partnerships Manager, along with strategy, creative, and production leads who build the connection between a title and a brand’s positioning and oversee concept development and production with agency partners.

The role requires building win-win commercial deals and using sound judgment, business awareness, and experience to create tailored approaches. As Netflix Ads grows, this role will also help extend the partnerships offering across channels such as custom social, live events, and new ad formats. You will need to design partnerships that work both as promotional activations and across Netflix media channels.

You will create partnership decks, lead conversations and negotiations with partners, and manage ongoing partner relationships. You will also work closely with the Ads team to strengthen relationships with key advertising partners and drive awareness through partner-led activity.

In addition, you will collaborate with title marketing, media, publicity, and social teams to embed partnership campaigns into title marketing plans and explore expansion into other countries or regions where appropriate. You will own the partner relationship end to end, ensuring open communication before, during, and after each campaign.

This 12-month fixed-term contract is an opportunity to help shape and grow Netflix’s brand partnerships proposition at a time when the ads business is expanding rapidly, supporting both creative innovation and an important new revenue stream for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the UK Ads team to actively develop commercially sound and creatively strong partnership opportunities.
  • Own the commercial approach, pitching, and delivery for selected 2027 title opportunities with the UK Ads team from start to finish.
  • Support sponsorship opportunities across the live programming slate.
  • Gather partner insights and equip strategy and creative teams with the information needed to shape the strategic and creative direction from concept through delivery.
  • Act as a bridge between sponsorships/solutions teams and brand partnerships to create media-led creative options for partners.
  • Work with brand strategy, creative, and production to design robust partnerships that deliver both commercial outcomes and conversation-driving marketing results.
  • Develop clear, concise commercial proposals for partners.
  • Prepare and negotiate deal summaries and contractual promotional agreements.
  • Create internal memos that capture decision-making logic, guide key choices, or present viewpoints that may be shared across the wider organisation.
  • Offer brands clear, practical guidance and feedback.
  • Introduce prospective partners to Netflix’s approach to brand partnerships and explain the company’s goals and ambitions.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience building, negotiating, and delivering highly creative, IP-led partnerships or brand campaigns in entertainment.
  • Experience operating in a fast-moving commercial environment with the ability to balance business and creative priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of the media landscape, especially television and social platforms.
  • Background in film or TV, either inside an entertainment company or on the brand side with direct entertainment collaboration.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to build a clear narrative and present a point of view even when the situation is uncertain.
  • Ability to show how strategy shapes creative briefs, with end-to-end campaign development experience alongside agencies.
  • Experience creating and selling custom partnership solutions for owned media channels.
  • Confidence in providing strategic input and a clear opinion on creative work.
  • Experience and strong enthusiasm for building content marketing programs that are original and scalable.
  • Proven ability to prioritise work and deliver results.

Personality Attributes

  • Genuine interest and curiosity in marketing, brands, and entertainment.
  • Strategic mindset, forward-looking approach, strong organisation, and effective communication skills in a fast-paced setting.
  • Comfort with both negotiation and creative marketing.
  • Track record of building trusted relationships with senior brand marketers.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Well-organised and able to stay effective in ambiguous situations.
  • Comfortable making quick decisions, seeking input when needed, and thriving in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong presenter who can engage senior executives, showrunners, filmmakers, and partner leadership.
  • Able to simplify complex ideas quickly and communicate them clearly and accurately.
  • High intellectual curiosity and strong judgment when facing uncertainty.
  • Agile, ambitious, goal-driven, and motivated by challenge.
  • Interest in distinctive and innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to fit into Netflix’s unique culture.
