About the company

Greaves Electric Mobility is part of Greaves, a diversified engineering business with a 162-year legacy and established capabilities across automotive, non-automotive, aftermarket, retail, electric mobility solutions, and financial services. The group has built its reputation on trust, innovation, and engineering excellence. Its mobility portfolio includes fuel-agnostic powertrain solutions for diesel, CNG, and petrol three-wheeler commercial vehicles, as well as Ampere Electric offerings in electric two-wheelers, electric three-wheelers, and compact electric industrial products.

Beyond mobility, the company operates in power generation and several application-focused industrial areas such as agriculture, marine, and light construction. With six manufacturing facilities across India and a nationwide network of 500+ retail outlets and 6,300+ spare parts outlets, Greaves continues to focus on affordability, reliability, and future-ready solutions.

Role overview

This position is for a commercially focused manager who will shape and grow the accessories business for the electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler range. The role is central to improving customer experience, enabling personalization, strengthening dealer profitability, and building a long-term revenue stream in a fast-changing EV market.

The selected professional will define the accessories roadmap, identify new opportunities, launch products, manage supplier relationships, and lead market execution. The role calls for close coordination with product, engineering, sales, marketing, procurement, supply chain, quality, service, and dealer development teams to build a profitable and customer-centric accessories ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement the overall accessories strategy in line with business growth goals for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers.
  • Develop and grow a strong portfolio covering genuine accessories, lifestyle add-ons, utility products, and personalization solutions.
  • Own the full product journey from market discovery and concept creation through development, validation, launch, and ongoing lifecycle management.
  • Use customer studies, dealer input, competitor tracking, and market analysis to uncover trends and unmet needs.
  • Identify, assess, and manage suppliers while improving localization, pricing efficiency, quality, and long-term collaboration.
  • Handle the commercial performance of the category, including pricing, revenue, margins, forecasting, business planning, and P&L outcomes.
  • Increase accessory fitment and sales through dealer activation, merchandising practices, retail engagement, and sales support tools.
  • Work with cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, finance, and service to ensure smooth commercialization.
  • Design and roll out launch plans, go-to-market approaches, promotional activities, digital campaigns, and dealer communication programs.
  • Track business performance indicators such as revenue, margins, inventory movement, forecast accuracy, fill rate, penetration, dealer participation, customer satisfaction, and ROI, then drive improvement actions.

Requirements

  • 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in automotive accessories, genuine parts, aftermarket, product management, category management, or EV-related businesses.
  • Experience with automotive OEMs, EV manufacturers, Tier-1 suppliers, or established accessory companies is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of automotive accessories, product development, supplier handling, procurement, category management, dealer networks, and aftermarket operations.
  • Proven ability to launch products, build profitable portfolios, grow categories, and manage business performance with clear commercial accountability.
  • Comfort working across functions and influencing teams in engineering, sales, marketing, operations, supply chain, and product functions.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret market signals, customer insights, and business data for sound commercial decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, project management, and communication skills, with a strong execution focus and customer-first mindset.
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial, or Production Engineering is required; an MBA or other postgraduate business qualification is preferred.
