Job description
Role overview
BSI is seeking a Management Systems Auditor to help clients move through certification assessments and work toward ISO compliance. The role is varied, covering a mix of client sizes and industries, and includes both on-site visits and remote auditing. After completing audits, you will compile reports and share your conclusions to support client improvement.
Location
This position is based in the West Midlands, with Worcester or Cheltenham preferred. The role is home-based with regular travel to client sites and remote auditing responsibilities.
Salary and package
The package includes a competitive base salary that reflects experience, along with a company car, incentive bonus, and a strong benefits offering.
What you will do
You will guide clients through the assessment process, review their systems against relevant standards, and complete audit reporting. The job involves working with a wide range of customers, from smaller businesses to major global brands, across multiple sectors.
Experience and standards
The ideal candidate will bring practical knowledge of more than one management standard, with particular value placed on ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and/or ISO 9001. Experience in construction or manufacturing, clean/waste water management, or the National Highway Sector Schemes (NHSS) is especially relevant.
Development and career support
Candidates with strong potential who are not already certified as Lead ISO Auditors may still be considered, as training and development can be provided to build capability in additional standards. Professionals working in Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) roles who want to move into external auditing are encouraged to express interest.
Working style
Success in this role depends on clear communication, adaptability, resilience, and a collaborative mindset. A positive attitude and eagerness to learn are important, as full support will be given to help you progress.
Benefits
Benefits include 27 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell additional leave. The company car package covers vehicle tax, MOT, and insurance. You will also receive private medical insurance, a company-funded pension contribution, a volunteer day, access to discounts and cashback through a rewards programme, life assurance at 4x base salary, and other flexible benefits.
