Management Information Systems Specialist

Job Summary

This role is for an experienced IT systems professional who can administer and support enterprise technology environments spanning both cloud and on-premises platforms. The position calls for solid hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), virtualization, cloud storage, backup and recovery, and broader enterprise systems administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle system incidents, investigate technical issues, and carry out corrective measures.
• Deliver operational support while adhering to SLA commitments and shift-based coverage.
• Take part in on-call support for urgent infrastructure problems.
• Track system health and take action to remove performance slowdowns before they affect operations.
• Administer and support Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform services.
• Set up and maintain virtual machines, cloud databases, and PaaS-based solutions.
• Oversee cloud storage platforms, including object storage and file storage.
• Continuously improve system availability, reliability, and overall performance.
• Put backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes into practice and keep them effective.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is required. The employer is looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in IT systems engineering or cloud infrastructure, along with strong practical exposure to Microsoft Azure and GCP. Working knowledge of virtualization tools, enterprise storage, cloud security, troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical problem-solving is also expected.
