About the Role

Curaleaf International invites applications for a Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities team based in Brampton, Ontario. This hands-on position involves servicing and repairing facility equipment to ensure smooth and safe operations in a regulated production environment. The role reports directly to the Facilities Manager and requires onsite presence.

Working Hours and Location

The job entails working Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm at the Brampton site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and perform general facility repairs.
  • Diagnose and fix issues related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assist with equipment installations and facility upgrades.
  • Ensure the work environment remains safe, clean, and well-ordered while maintaining accurate maintenance logs.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other maintenance gear safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Cultivation, Production, and Facilities departments to support the ongoing activities.
  • Provide overtime and emergency maintenance support as needed.

Candidate Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certifications are advantageous.
  • Relevant experience in maintenance, facilities management, construction, or industrial workplaces.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools as well as fundamental maintenance equipment.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong analytical thinking, safety awareness, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, cannabis cultivation or production environments is beneficial but not required.

Compensation

The position offers an annual salary of CA$65,000.
