What You Will Do

As a Maintenance Repairman 1, you will support a variety of repair, maintenance, and construction activities to help keep worksites operating safely and efficiently.

• Assist with basic building, framing, masonry, plumbing, electrical, and repair work on structures and equipment.
• Help plan projects by estimating needs and choosing the appropriate materials and tools.
• Operate both powered and non-powered hand tools safely and correctly.
• Carry out routine adjustments, light repairs, and cleaning to keep equipment in safe condition.
• Follow safety procedures, identify hazards, and help maintain a secure work environment.
• Meet environmental protection requirements and complete any required environmental training.

Work Schedule and Conditions

• This is a full-time position.
• Regular hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.
• Hours may change during winter operations.
• Telework is not available for this job.
• New hires into Commonwealth employment start at an annual salary of $36,108 before taxes.

Experience and Training Needed

Applicants must either have two years of general maintenance experience involving at least two of the following trades: building, electrical, or mechanical; or an equivalent mix of experience and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Other Requirements

• A valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license is required.
• You must be capable of performing the essential duties of the position.
• A conditional job offer will require criminal history reports.
