Maintenance Planner

Position Overview

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for scheduling, organizing, and overseeing preventive maintenance activities for mobile equipment to ensure optimal use of labor, spare parts, materials, and tools. This role guarantees that equipment information is accurate and that machines are always maintained in excellent operational condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance schedules specifically for mobile equipment.
• Distribute preventive maintenance schedules to the responsible personnel.
• Support the transfer process of preventive maintenance tasks to external service providers.
• Verify availability of required spare parts, labor, and tools for executing preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with the maintenance manager to plan downtime and special maintenance procedures for equipment.
• Ensure all equipment documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Assist with managing documents and regulations related to the equipment.
• Record and update mobile equipment horometer readings in the JD Edwards system.
• Create and close work orders related to preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance information in the system.

Challenges in the Role

• Ensure scheduled preventive maintenance is applied and completed as planned.
• Generate detailed cost and statistical reports related to maintenance operations.
• Track and follow up on the location of mobile equipment.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Preferably holds an engineering degree or equivalent education.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance planning.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Familiarity with SAP Maintenance Module.

Internal and External Relationships

• Works closely with Maintenance Manager, Industrial Maintenance Coordinator, and Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator.
• Coordinates with external suppliers and vendors as necessary.
