Job Summary

This position is for a Maintenance Mechanic working the 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM) from Tuesday through Saturday at the Marion Health facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing fixtures, including rodding drains and pipes, stopping leaks, and rebuilding flush valves.
• Oversee and adjust the building automation system to maintain a comfortable environment for patients and staff.
• Perform generator testing and inspections, replace lighting fixtures and bulbs, ceiling tiles, and address general building maintenance issues.
• Utilize technical documents such as wiring diagrams, operation manuals, and maintenance guides to diagnose and fix problems.
• Coordinate specialized maintenance work with external vendors and contractors.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on emergency power systems, emergency lighting, ice machines, refrigerators, HVAC units, and other building systems.
• Carry out inspections of the building and mechanical rooms to ensure compliance with maintenance programs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance or technician roles.
• Strong communication abilities and a proactive approach to following up on tasks.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience working with Building Automation Systems.
• Familiarity with computerized work order systems is a plus.

Compensation and Schedule

The hourly wage ranges from $18 to $21, with an additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for this third shift schedule.
