Maintenance Handyperson - Airlie Beach

Job Overview

We are currently inviting applications for an energetic, customer-oriented Maintenance Handyperson to join our team in Airlie Beach on a full-time basis. This role entails working alongside Guest Services Managers, housekeeping, and reception staff to maintain hotel rooms and public spaces in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance tasks within guest rooms and communal hotel areas
• Respond swiftly to repair requests and urgent maintenance situations
• Properly maintain tools, equipment, and workspace areas
• Ensure that the hotel's quality standards are consistently upheld
• Deliver outstanding customer service when interacting with guests
• Carry out basic gardening work when required

Candidate Qualifications

• Attention to detail and thoroughness
• Prior maintenance experience, ideally within the hospitality industry
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and effective time management
• A positive and proactive approach towards work
• Capability to work independently without close supervision and meet deadlines
• Committed work ethic

Additional Requirements

This position demands availability to work weekends and requires applicants to commit to a minimum 12-month contract. Preference will be given to local residents.
