Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and technically proficient Maintenance Executive based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to oversee maintenance operations across multiple stores. This role involves managing infrastructure upkeep including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration systems, and general facility maintenance to ensure seamless and safe store functionality.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance tasks for all allocated stores in Ahmedabad.
- Perform routine inspections of store infrastructure, ensuring optimal function of equipment, electrical setups, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and utilities.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for all operational assets.
- Promptly address and resolve maintenance issues, breakdowns, and complaints within set timeframe.
- Diagnose and repair problems related to electrical, plumbing, civil works, carpentry, refrigeration, AC, exhaust, and other technical systems.
- Maintain kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, refrigerators, exhaust systems, ovens, and coffee machines effectively.
- Liaise with external vendors, technicians, and contractors to coordinate repair and upkeep tasks, including obtaining quotations and overseeing project timelines.
- Track vendor performance, service quality, and related maintenance costs efficiently.
- Document and maintain comprehensive records of breakdowns, service visits, maintenance contracts, repairs, and expenses.
- Minimize operational disruption by completing maintenance work efficiently and safely.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance audits to detect potential issues and mitigate breakdowns.
- Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for various systems, including AC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, electrical works, and pest control.
- Coordinate installation, relocation, replacement, and commissioning of equipment.
- Inspect electrical panels, wiring, switches, sockets, MCBs, lighting, and signage to ensure compliance and safety.
- Address plumbing challenges including leaks, drainage problems, water supply issues, and pipeline maintenance.
- Supervise civil and carpentry tasks such as flooring, wall repairs, door maintenance, furniture upkeep, ceilings, and fixtures.
- Ensure proper functioning of HVAC, exhaust, ventilation, refrigeration, and freezer units.
- Maintain inventory of essential tools, spare parts, and consumables; monitor usage for cost efficiency.
- Support new store openings by handling installation and maintenance coordination.
- Perform regular site inspections and generate detailed maintenance reports.
- Enforce company safety and maintenance standards across all locations.
- Identify recurring issues and propose permanent corrective measures.
- Escalate critical and high-cost repairs to management promptly.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance expenditures and obtain necessary approvals as per company policy.
- Prioritize and respond urgently to emergency maintenance demands.
- Collaborate with Store Managers and Area Managers regarding maintenance needs.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are safely executed and adhere to scheduled timelines.
Preventive Maintenance Duties
- Develop and maintain monthly preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure timely servicing of electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen, and related equipment.
- Maintain equipment-specific maintenance logs and monitor AMC expiration dates.
- Identify equipment approaching end-of-life and recommend appropriate repair or replacement.
- Implement strategies to lower repeat breakdowns and avoid unnecessary maintenance costs.
Vendor Management
- Identify and cooperate with local maintenance vendors.
- Negotiate service pricing and collect competitive quotations.
- Ensure vendors complete assigned work as per agreed quality and timelines.
- Verify quality of completed maintenance before closing requests.
- Maintain a current database of vendors and technicians.
Reporting and Documentation
- Track daily and weekly maintenance complaints.
- Prepare preventive maintenance and breakdown reports.
- Maintain an AMC tracker along with vendor bills and quotation records.
- Document spare parts usage and maintenance expenses.
- Report store-wise maintenance status and escalate pending issues.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Diploma, ITI, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Maintenance or related technical fields. Prior experience of 2 to 5 years in maintenance roles within QSR, restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-location environments is preferred. Experience managing maintenance across multiple stores is an advantage.
