Role overview
The position is focused on workshop-based services and maintenance planning for instrumentation systems at the site. The aim is to keep operations running reliably and efficiently while meeting all legal, safety, and company policy requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out routine work in line with applicable policies, procedures, operating instructions, and maintenance standards so that activities remain controlled and consistent.
- Stay updated on current practices and improvements, and help refine systems, processes, and procedures wherever possible.
- Prepare test methods and formats, and help standardize best practices and group guidelines for better instrumentation system performance.
- Support workshop maintenance planning by contributing to cost estimates, budgets, resource optimization, and overall planning inputs.
- Build daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans for instrumentation work in coordination with plant maintenance and planning teams.
- Track workshop maintenance KPIs and help ensure targets are achieved consistently.
- Perform important instrumentation maintenance tasks while maintaining high quality standards.
- Work with other teams for external repairs and oversee maintenance of related instrumentation equipment in common site areas.
- Support turnaround and shutdown maintenance for instrumentation equipment and systems, including testing and calibration on time.
- Assist with spare-parts control by identifying parts, monitoring stock, checking incoming materials, and helping maintain critical spares in a standardized manner.
- Help diagnose major issues and carry out repair and refurbishment work on instrumentation equipment and components.
- Prepare compliance and audit documentation, and support adherence to statutory, HSE, RESOP, CASHe, and mandatory HSEF training requirements.
- Maintain repair records, test records, MIS reports, and other maintenance documentation accurately and on time.
- Take on any other related assignment given by senior authorities as needed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with Instrumentation or Electronics specialization is required.
- A master’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Instrumentation or Electronics is preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in industrial or instrumentation workshop maintenance is required for degree holders.
- Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards is expected.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation engineering and workshop maintenance practices is needed.
- Good communication, reporting, and interpersonal abilities are important.
- Coordination skills, analytical planning ability, self-motivation, and good time management are required.
