Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Acquisitions Specialist for a freelance engagement with a well-established Corporate Intermediary Firm. This position caters perfectly to experienced finance professionals, ideally former Finance Directors, interested in corporate strategy and the SME marketplace. The role supports remote work from anywhere in England and offers great flexibility, suitable for full-time or part-time commitment as part of a broader freelance portfolio.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is self-driven, meticulous, experienced, and adaptable, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with entrepreneurial SME owners as well as boards of public and private companies. While prior M&A, corporate development, or deal origination experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Academic qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, MBA, or equivalent are preferred, though other relevant qualifications will be considered.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Manage and execute acquisition processes with a focus on SME companies.
- Interact directly and professionally with company boards and entrepreneurial owners.
- Contribute strategic insight and financial analysis to support deal origination and corporate development.
- Utilize strong database research and interpersonal abilities to identify and create viable deals.
