Role Overview

We are seeking a precise Luxury Goods Appraiser specializing in handbags to join our Merchandising team in Singapore. This role is pivotal in authenticating luxury items, ensuring high standards, and cultivating trust with sellers and buyers. You will engage directly with high-value products, support inventory acquisition, and maintain operational excellence in luxury resale.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the merchandising team in authenticating and acquiring luxury goods.
• Conduct market research to inform pricing strategies on leading luxury items.
• Oversee the complete verification and authentication procedures for incoming stock.
• Conduct final authentication assessments when meeting with sellers.
• Negotiate procurement terms with sellers for inventory acquisition.
• Execute quality control inspections on all received merchandise.
• Research new handbag models to continually enhance internal expertise.
• Provide training to staff on identifying counterfeit characteristics.
• Maintain precise records of authentication and quality control evaluations.
• Support diverse ad-hoc operational initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with teams such as Logistics and Warehouse Operations.
• Utilize artificial intelligence tools to expedite initial assessments of authenticity and item condition.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Prior experience in authenticating and handling luxury goods, with a focus on handbags.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective interaction with both sellers and colleagues.
• Adaptability to fast-paced environments and quick assimilation of new knowledge.
• Detail-driven and methodical with a strong emphasis on process adherence.
• Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
