About the Role
This position sits within the Loss Prevention & Security function at a Marriott International property in Dubai Marina, Dubai. It is a full-time, on-site, non-management role focused on protecting guests, associates, and property while supporting a safe and orderly hotel environment.
What You’ll Do
- Patrol all parts of the property and support guest access to rooms when needed.
- Keep an eye on CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire/life-safety systems.
- Secure entrances when circumstances require it.
- Carry out daily inspections to identify physical hazards.
- Respond to accidents, including contacting emergency medical services or giving first aid/CPR when appropriate.
- Support guests and employees during emergencies and alert the right people when accidents, incidents, or attacks occur.
- Calm disruptive situations involving guests or employees and seek outside help when necessary.
- Prepare incident documentation for all security and loss-prevention events.
- Manage interruptions and complaints while addressing safety risks.
- Remove unwelcome individuals from the property without disturbing normal operations.
- Report vehicle accidents and thefts, using the proper coded responses to request help.
- Prepare a shift summary and daily activity report for loss prevention.
- Keep security and property records confidential and share information only with authorized personnel.
- Conduct investigations, collect evidence, and interview relevant parties.

- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a neat, professional uniform and appearance.
- Protect confidential and proprietary information and safeguard company assets.
- Welcome guests in line with brand standards and respond to service needs, including supporting people with disabilities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Build strong working relationships and collaborate to achieve team goals.
- Meet quality-assurance expectations and standards.
- Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods, including an entire shift.
- Read and verify information in different formats, including small print.
- Inspect tools, equipment, or machinery for defects.
- Use computers and point-of-sale systems to enter and find work-related information.
- Move quickly when required, including running, walking, or jogging in response to situations.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds without help and over 75 pounds with assistance.
- Handle objects of different sizes and weights with fine motor control and good hand-eye coordination.
- Work in narrow, confined, or elevated areas.
- Move across uneven, slippery, or sloped surfaces and use stairs or service ramps.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. No prior related work experience is required, and no supervisory background or license/certification is listed as mandatory. Some states may have additional licensing or registration requirements for this position.
