Role overview
This full-time position in Doha, Qatar sits within the Loss Prevention & Security function. The role focuses on protecting guests, employees, and property while supporting a safe, orderly hotel environment. It is a non-management position and is based on-site.
Key duties
- Cover the property grounds through regular patrols and support guest room access when needed.
- Watch CCTV feeds and keep an eye on perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire and life-safety systems.
- Secure entrances when the situation calls for it and carry out routine checks for physical hazards.
- Respond quickly to accidents, emergencies, disturbances, thefts, and vehicle incidents, and contact emergency services or provide first aid/CPR when appropriate.
- Support guests and team members during emergency situations and coordinate with the right people when incidents occur.
- Use proper code responses when seeking assistance and remove unauthorized persons from the property without disrupting operations.
- Document incidents thoroughly through reports, shift summaries, and daily activity records.
- Investigate security-related matters, collect evidence, and interview the relevant people involved.
- Handle interruptions and complaints while working to resolve unsafe situations.
- Maintain confidentiality of security records and release information only to authorized personnel.
Work standards and physical expectations
The job requires following company policies, safety procedures, and reporting requirements, along with completing any assigned safety training and certifications. Professional appearance, clear communication, teamwork, and quality standards are important. The position also involves extended standing, sitting, and walking; reading and verifying information in different formats; using computers or point-of-sale systems; moving quickly in response to situations; and lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or placing items weighing up to 50 pounds alone and more than 75 pounds with assistance. The work may also involve bending, reaching, climbing stairs or ramps, and moving through confined, elevated, uneven, or slippery areas.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. No prior related work experience is required, and no previous supervisory background is needed. No license or certification is specified, although some locations may require additional registration or licensing to be eligible for the role.
