About the Role
This position focuses on protecting company assets, facilities, personnel, and members to maintain a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the building and surrounding areas are free from security threats and safeguarded against sabotage and damage.
- Be knowledgeable about all security equipment, including CCTV and alarm systems, and verify they are operational at all times.
- Prevent unauthorized access and protect company properties and facilities from intruders and harm.
- Secure the warehouse building, internal vicinity, and perimeter areas thoroughly.
- Oversee, monitor, and communicate all safety and security issues effectively.
- Conduct investigations involving individuals linked to incidents on company premises.
- Supervise contracted security staff to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Perform routine safety inspections, especially concentrating on customer areas like selling zones.
- Participate in and support emergency preparedness drills, including fire, bomb threat, and natural disaster exercises.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School required; a degree is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in a comparable security or loss prevention role, ideally within retail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction.
- Technical knowledge related to maintenance is advantageous.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is mandatory.
