Role overview
This position sits within the loss prevention function at a Blanchardstown store in Fingal, Ireland. The role is focused on helping maintain a secure shopping and working environment through a uniformed presence that deters theft, protects company property and supports store safety.
Working pattern
The shift pattern for this role is rotational. The position also requires availability across different opening times, including evenings and weekends, and the willingness to work 5 days out of 7.
Key duties
- Help keep the store a safe and secure place for colleagues and customers.
- Partner with store staff and maintain effective working relationships with local police.
- Spot areas of higher risk and act as a visible deterrent on the shop floor.
- Work with store management to make sure loss prevention standards are consistently followed.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by the Regional Loss Prevention Manager, such as out-of-hours monitoring, loss prevention audits, support at other stores, and attendance at team meetings.
What the employer is looking for
- A valid PSA licence is required.
- Retail security experience is preferred.
- You should be flexible and open to working in different stores and at varying times.
- You must be able to travel daily to cover a group of stores within a reasonable distance from home.
- A strong focus on safety for staff and shoppers is essential.
- You should be organised and able to perform well in a busy environment.
- The role suits someone who is hardworking, self-driven and able to take initiative.
- Good communication skills are needed to build positive relationships with store teams, police and customers.
- Comfort with computers and IT systems is preferred, though not mandatory.
