Role overview

This position is part of the Loss Prevention & Security function at a Marriott property in Vagator Beach Road, Goa. It is a full-time, non-management role focused on maintaining guest and employee safety, protecting property assets, and supporting emergency response and incident handling.

Key duties

The role involves patrolling the property, controlling access to rooms and secured areas, and keeping watch over CCTV and alarm systems. The executive is expected to carry out safety checks, emergency drills, hazard inspections, investigations, interviews, and key-control audits. It also includes responding to incidents, accidents, and medical situations, including contacting emergency services or providing first aid/CPR when needed.

Other responsibilities include documenting incidents and preparing reports, safeguarding confidential information, handling disturbances and complaints, removing unauthorized individuals when necessary, ensuring compliance with alcohol-related regulations, and issuing appropriate paperwork to employees. The role also requires supporting management with employee coaching, training, and the open-door/guarantee of fair treatment process.

Work standards and conduct

The position requires strict adherence to company procedures, safety rules, confidentiality, grooming standards, and quality expectations. The associate is expected to welcome guests professionally, communicate clearly, maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and use proper etiquette on calls and in written documentation. Protection of company assets and timely reporting of unsafe conditions, injuries, and incidents are essential.

Physical and technical requirements

The job demands the ability to read and inspect information in different formats, use computers and point-of-sale systems, and move quickly in response to work situations. The associate must be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods; lift, push, pull, carry, or place objects up to 50 pounds without help and more than 75 pounds with assistance; and work in narrow, elevated, uneven, slippery, or stair-filled areas. Fine motor control, bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching above and below the knees are also required.

Preferred background

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred, along with at least 2 years of relevant work experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience. No license or certification is required, although some states may have additional registration or licensing requirements for this role.
